Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team who must be within 10 miles of Santa Monica, CA as some hours will be spent on site. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks including strong payroll skills. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of financial concepts and possess excellent attention to detail. Speaking mandarin is a plus. Living in or near Santa Monica is beneficial.

Duties:

- Maintain and update general ledger accounts

- Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents

- Prepare and post journal entries

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

- Generate financial reports and assist with budgeting

- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and GAAP

- Perform general administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

- Knowledge of technical accounting concepts is preferred

- Experience with 10 key typing is a plus

Job Types: Part-time, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $29.22 - $31.28 per hour
